Dear artist friends,
How’s your pioneering spirit? Would you be adventurous enough to help us break some ice as we prepare to launch what could become one of the most important independent resources available to artists?
We’ve built a platform for artists of all levels to voice the joys and frustrations of their tools and materials, sharing with other artists the true insight needed to make the best decisions before buying expensive art supplies.
You’re a recipient of this message because a mutual friend thinks you’d make a great test pilot for ArtSuppliesAdvice.com- lucky you! The website is almost ready to go, but before we can unleash it upon the world we need a handful of artists like you to kick the tires so that we can identify and work out bugs that we might have missed.
If you do decide to join in, here’s what we’d ask;
Wander around the site, read some of our great articles and get a feel for how the site works and what it contains. There are three main elements: the articles, the ratings/reviews and the Artist’s Store.
If you’re comfortable, please register on the site and leave reviews for products you’ve used and stores you’ve shopped at and comment on any article you wish to. You can always delete your own reviews and comments later if you don’t want them on the site for prosperity (although we’d hate for you to reduce your chances in our $1000 art supplies giveaway!)
If you like to share on social media, go ahead and share anything you like from the site and please let us know if you run into any anomalies
Realistically we expect a few teething problems (which is why we need test pilots!) and I apologize in advance for any irritation caused.
If you have any suggestions as to how we can make the user experience better for our readers, I’d be so grateful if you would drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
Once we’ve ironed out enough bugs and everything’s stable, then we’ll plead with you to share the site and get your friends to participate—providing you like it, of course!
Thanks for considering the role of pioneer! (There’s a good t-shirt slogan in there somewhere….)
Kindest regards, Nick Graham Founder ArtSuppliesAdvice.com
